Victor F. “Trey” Trahan, III, FAIA, is the founder and design principal of Trahan Architects in New Orleans and New York City. Trey established Trahan Architects at the age of thirty-two, and the firm has since built a portfolio with a wide range of building types and scales, including academic, cultural, athletic, ecclesiastic, residential, commercial, mixed-use, and urban projects throughout the U.S. and overseas. The firm was ranked as the #1 design firm in the U.S. for 2019 by Architect Magazine, the official publication of the American Institute of Architects. Trahan Architects has won over 100 national, regional, and local awards, as well as several international design competitions, including four National AIA Awards, in less than 25 years. In 2005, Trey received the Architecture Review Emerging Architecture Award in London, and in 2006 he was elected to the AIA College of Fellows.
